The Vision
Even among the traditionally underserved healthcare industry, the pharmacy space sees very few of the technical advances we benefit from on a daily basis. Now-commonplace tools like ChatGPT are a complete unknown to many in the field, and AI still means responding "y" or "n" to an automated text.
Yet, at the same time pharmacy is an integral component of the American healthcare system. Not only does it ensure that millions of Americans stay healthy and safe, but it also provides a means for smaller hospitals to counteract mounting losses as the costs of healthcare grow.
As the pharmacy industry faces a shortage of qualified professionals, we find ourselves in a unique position to offer technical solutions that not only assist in the work they already do, but allow small pharmacy teams to help a greater number of patients get access to life saving medication.
The Team
Our founding team brings together a wide range of experience, industry, and expertise. As an engineering organization, we’re fortunate to be joined by experts in both the hospital and pharmacy space who help us contextualize and shape the products we build.
Our CEO is Ali Farzad, a founding member of Ascertain — a startup bringing AI to hospital systems for patient management. He has also worked with hospitals directly as a consultant and managed healthcare sales at a startup called Paytient.
Joining him is our COO Alice Cheng. Alice was also a founding member of Ascertain, where she and Ali met. She has further worked in the digital strategy arm of CVS and built healthcare products at Click Therapeutics.
Finally, our CTO is Zach Wade. Zach is the former head of engineering at Nuvo, a fintech startup serving the American supply chain. He was on the founding team of a computer vision startup called Zensors, and is a 6-time world champion hacker.
